Uniform Patrol Officers serve as the front line to the community. Answering 9-1-1 calls, traffic enforcement, community policing, and many other tasks, these officers work hard to keep our community safe by providing excellent customer service to the citizens of Morrisville. Many of these officer's have other functions within the Department, as well as their patrol functions. Officer's may serve double duty as bike officers, SORT
members, in-service training instructors, administrative duties, and much more.

. Bicycle Unit
The Bicycle Unit has proven itself to be an effective community-policing tool. The unit was formed in 1999 and presently consists of three officers. Bicycle officers utilize bicycles in their efforts to break down barriers of communication between the police and the public. This facilitates the solving of problems and builds mutual trust and respect.
