Church Street Sidewalk Project will cause lane closures starting August 28

Picture1.jpg

Construction on the sidewalk has begun.  The contractor is working in the area of Jeremiah Street to Scoggins Avenue from August 14th through August 28th.  Beginning as early as August 28th, the contractor will close the southbound lane on Church Street, between 9am and 4pm Monday through Friday, at Jeremiah Street in order to allow the workers room to safely install the sidewalk and curb-and-gutter between Scoggins Avenue and Morrisville-Carpenter Road.  This closure will require a posted detour on Jeremiah Street to Town Hall Drive to access Morrisville-Carpenter Road.  Residents who live on Church Street, or any of the roads directly off Church Street south of Jeremiah Street, will be able to access their property during construction.  The closure is expected to last 3-5 weeks.
