Dozens of people attended Community Conversation with the Police Chief on Friday, March 10, 2017.

Morrisville Police Chief Patrice Andrews and officers from the Morrisville Police Department shared information about routine services and respond to questions about traffic stops, immigration, neighborhood safety, parking ordinances, and more.

Chief Andrews opened the conversation by telling attendees, “We are here, and our job is to help you. We always want you to feel safe. If you do not feel safe, you should always call us and we will do whatever we can to help you.”

The Community Conversation included advice on how to handle intimidation, what to expect during routine traffic stops and how local law enforcement agencies respond to threats against buildings/facilities in the community. The Chief answered questions from people in attendance, and respond to questions that were asked ahead of the event in an anonymous survey.

Much of the Community Conversation was captured by Town staff and residents using the hashtag #AskMPD on Twitter. The Tweets were captured in a Twitter Moment and are available for the public to review.

Reponses to questions asked ahead of the event via the online survey are available below.
